It would be ideal if we could simply sit back and trust those who have dedicated their lives to civic duty and politics to handle the challenges facing our democracy. However, it seems that they could use more help at the moment.

It seemed that many people, especially young people in our lives, just didn't know the facts of what was at stake in the 2024 election. We seemed to be adrift in a sea of misinformation and apathy. We were horrified to hear that some of the people in our lives just didn't want to vote. So we called some friends and got to work on this project of making an easy reference for information that anyone can use to talk to the people in there lives about the importance of the choices we make in 2024.

The Republican right has spent decades building a behind the scenes machine to win state political positions and fill our judiciary seats in order to push their agenda forward and remove impediments to reshaping America in their vision. 

If they succeed they would roll back the progress of building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable society that Democrats have been working to make a reality for over 60 years. They want to set back the clock and put power in the hands of only a few. 

The Republican party makes no illusions about believing in democracy any longer as outlined in Project 2025. Leading Republican voices, like Ann Coulter and lieutenant governor of North Carolina Mark Robinson say that women shouldn’t even have the right to vote. They are currently spending millions to contest the votes of people of color and suppress the national vote in urban centers and on college campuses.
